About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our SEN Schools and Alternative Education Provisions in Basingstoke.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with complex needs, challenging behavior, and SEMH. They will be proactive, resilient, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a teacher with a small class of 4-8 pupils, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work with pupils with ASC, complex needs, challenging behavior, and SEMH, providing individualized support and accommodations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and other support staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Participate in lesson planning, implementation, and assessment, contributing to the development of personalized curricula for each student.
Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education.
