Job Title: Warehouse Operator

Job Summary:

Devonshire is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operator to join our team. As a Warehouse Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Loading and Unloading Goods: Safely load and unload goods from vehicles, and stack empty pallets in a secure and organized manner.
  2. Inventory Management: Move stocks and items of mail packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility, and stack goods in the correct storage bays following stock control instructions.
  3. Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily equipment checks, including recharging the truck's battery, and help load and unload trucks by hand where necessary.
  4. Warehouse Tasks: Pick stock and move it to the appropriate location on the factory floor, and deal with stock returns.
  5. Waste Disposal: Collect full bins and move them to the goods yard for disposal, and dispose of waste by bailing shredded paper or compacting.

Requirements:

  • Previous Warehouse Experience: Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative is essential.
  • Counterbalance Licence: A valid counterbalance licence is required.
  • IT Literacy: Proficiency in the use of MS Excel is necessary.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and manoeuvre items, such as boxes, of up to 22KG.

Working Hours:

Nights: Week 1 – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, contracted hours, working 7.00pm to 7.00am, working 11 hours per shift.

Week 2 – Monday and Tuesday, working 7.00pm to 7.00am, working 11 hours per shift.
