Grant Making Manager

The Centre for Sustainable Energy is seeking a highly skilled Grant Making Manager to oversee the design, development, and delivery of our grant making programmes to community organisations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that good practices are applied across our grant making activities and will work closely with our project teams to deliver high-quality grant programmes.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop high-quality grant giving schemes for a range of stakeholders, including community anchor organisations, voluntary community groups, and individuals.
- Manage relationships with funders to improve the future design of their grant programmes.
- Develop and implement clear practices to identify, mitigate, and monitor potential risks associated with our grant giving projects.
- Maintain and adapt our standard documentation to meet the individual needs of each grant scheme.
- Ensure efficient processes are in place for evidencing, instructing, and monitoring grant payments.
- Support project teams with managing relationships directly with grant recipients, including maintaining strong communications and acting as the main point of contact with the Centre for Sustainable Energy.
- Facilitate learning, networking, and sharing between grantees, ensuring that effective monitoring, evaluation, and learning practices are embedded within existing grant-making projects.
- Experience of delivering multiple, public, and competitive grant schemes for community organisations and groups.
- Highly skilled in managing people and relationships across different projects.
- Ability to engage with funders to improve the future design of their grant programmes.
