About the Role

TPF Recruitment is a distinguished firm specializing in chartered accountancy. We are currently seeking an Indirect Tax Leader to enhance our esteemed indirect tax division. This role is primarily advisory in nature, while also overseeing compliance operations, catering to a diverse clientele across the region.


Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the Indirect Tax Team: Oversee all aspects of indirect tax advisory.
  • Technical Research: Conduct in-depth research on various topics and keep the broader tax team informed of significant developments.
  • Client Communication: Prepare reports and advisory letters for a wide array of clients and industries.
  • Client Liaison: Engage with clients and participate in meetings to discuss their needs.
  • Business Development: Identify and market new opportunities for growth.
  • Team Management: Mentor and develop members of the indirect tax team.

Advisory Exposure
  • Topical Advisory: Lead advisory matters for clients across various sectors.
  • Efficient Structuring: Advise businesses on optimizing their indirect tax affairs.
  • International Trade: Provide guidance on indirect tax implications for cross-border transactions.
  • Special Schemes: Implement tailored exemption schemes as needed.
  • Ad Hoc Advice: Offer comprehensive advice on a variety of indirect tax issues for our diverse client base.

Candidate Requirements
  • Extensive experience in providing indirect tax advice, gained within a practice environment or through in-house roles.
  • Broad exposure to various aspects of UK indirect tax, along with a solid understanding of EU indirect tax regulations as they pertain to UK businesses.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent, or proven experience in the field.
