About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Bristol, working on data centre design projects. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality designs for data centre mechanical systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for data centres, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems
  • Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and technical reports
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure innovative and efficient design solutions

Requirements

  • Qualified Mechanical Engineer or similar, preferably to MEng level
  • Experience in mechanical services design on data centre projects, including mission critical facilities
  • Sound working knowledge of Revit MEP and other design software
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
