Senior Software Engineer

CME Technology and Support Services Ltd is a leading provider of electronic trading, post-trade processing, and risk management systems. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Belfast.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented software engineer to support the development of our Order Entry API using Java, cloud, and automation technologies. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of the EBS Workstation Team, which is responsible for delivering a range of functions including systems/business analysis, software development, and quality assurance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of the Order Entry API using Java, cloud, and automation technologies
  • Collaborate with the EBS Workstation Team to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Design and develop robust and maintainable software solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and identify potential issues and defects
  • Mentor and support the growth of engineering talent
  • Support business delivery through encouraging the growth and maturity of talent
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (with honors) or equivalent/better strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of core Java skills, with demonstrable experience
  • Demonstrable experience in developing applications with Spring Boot
  • Ability to write clean, bug-free code that is easy to understand, and easily maintainable
