Position Overview:

We are seeking a Sous Chef who will play a pivotal role in the enhancement of our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring service quality, safety, and adherence to high standards.
  • Contributing to the creation of new menus and innovative dishes while also refining classic recipes.
  • Leading the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, maintaining compliance with COSHH and EHO regulations.
  • Fostering a collaborative environment within the kitchen brigade.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Strong culinary skills with a keen eye for presentation and detail.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Willingness to step up to Head Chef responsibilities when necessary.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, EHO, and HACCP standards.
  • Understanding of stock management and GP percentages.
  • Experience in assisting with staff scheduling, training, and management tasks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of venue operations.
