At Shorterm Group, we are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join our team. As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and expert advice on all aspects of personal safety, health, and environment.
Key Responsibilities:- HSE Culture: Oversee the coordination, design, and delivery of the HSE cultural program, embedding a culture of health, safety, and environment across the business.
- Compliance: Ensure legal compliance by managing the effective implementation of HSE management systems, policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Record Keeping, Data, and Reporting: Implement, develop, monitor, and adhere to management systems aligned to relevant UK/European legislative requirements and industry quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive an improvement culture to evolve the site to sustainable Platinum Safran standards.
- Team Management and Leadership: Lead and build a high-performing and engaged HSE team, managing day-to-day performance and supporting development to reach individual potential.
Requirements:
- Educated to at least Level 3 (AS/A Level or Level 3 qualification), ideally relevant degree level 2:2 or above.
- Corporate membership of IOSH by examination.
- NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent, is required as a minimum.
- Significant Health, Safety & Environment experience in an operations environment, ideally within the engineering/production environment.
- Chemical processing knowledge and experience of managing a COMAH regulated site.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
Working Pattern: 37 hours a week with a Flexible Working hours arrangement in place.
Travel Requirements: Mainly Gloucester based - may be occasional travel to other UK sites or internationally a few times per year.
