Job Title: General Legal Counsel

Job Summary:

LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of an established education provider seeking a General Counsel to join them on a permanent basis. As a key member of the organization, you will provide expert legal advice on all matters, including commercial contracts, employment law, charity law, governance, and student-facing issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic legal guidance to the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Lead the legal services team, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging high performance.
  • Advise on a broad range of commercial matters, including contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risks and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience working in a similar role for an education provider.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial law, employment law, and charity law.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Ability to commute to the office on a hybrid basis.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance required.
