Model Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Model Development Analyst. In this key role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining bank models, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
About the TeamThe OSB Group is a FTSE 250 specialist mortgage lender, primarily focused on carefully selected segments of the mortgage market. Our specialist lending is supported by our Kent Reliance and Charter Savings Bank retail savings franchises. Diversification of funding is provided by sophisticated securitisation platforms. OSB's unique cost-efficient operating model is supported by our wholly-owned subsidiary OSBIndia.
Key Responsibilities- Provide analytics, model development, and reporting duties for the Models and Ratings team.
- Support the implementation of models across the organisation and provide expert assistance to ensure practical use, application, and documentation.
- Be accountable to a Model Manager to support the organisation obtaining and maintaining its IRB status and maintain IFRS9 compliance.
- Support Risk in providing an informed view of the credit profile of the bank, potential impairments, and support the stress testing of the same.
- Undertake analysis to support the assurance that the requirements for an IRB firm and IFRS 9 are being met.

Requirements- Advanced mathematical, modelling, and quantitative analysis skills.
- Advanced use and application of data modelling and data analysis software.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visual Basic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience of working in a Risk environment is desirable.
