This establishment is a state-of-the-art facility, dedicated to providing specialized care for adults facing acute mental health challenges.

To qualify for this role, you must possess Full GMC Registration.

As the Senior Psychiatric Consultant, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in collaborative efforts with care coordinators, commissioners, families, caregivers, and various services/agencies.
  • Implementing the Mental Health Act and liaising with the Ministry of Justice (if applicable).
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary, multi-agency, and partnership collaborations.
  • Carrying out administrative tasks related to patient care, ensuring compliance with all NHSE contractual obligations, and dispatching initial discharge summaries within 24 hours of discharge.
  • Maintaining professional registration with the General Medical Council and adhering to professional codes of conduct.
  • Upholding Section 12(2) and approved clinician status.

The following qualifications and experiences are preferred and advantageous for this position:

  • Capability to assume full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients.
  • Possession of Section 12(2) approval to practice in England and Approved clinician status.
  • Experience in General Adult settings and familiarity with working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Background in acute inpatient or community settings, ideally in inpatient environments, with experience in risk assessment and management.

The successful Senior Psychiatric Consultant will enjoy a competitive salary. This exciting position is a permanent full-time role, encompassing 37.5 hours per week. In recognition of your dedication and hard work, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including:
