Job Summary:

Brampton Manor Academy is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Science Technician to support the delivery and teaching of science across all key stages. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining classroom experiments, carrying out risk assessments, and maintaining equipment and inventories.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Experiment Preparation and Maintenance: Design and prepare classroom experiments to support the teaching of science at KS3, GCSE, and A level.
  • Risk Assessment and Compliance: Carry out departmental risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and inventory equipment, and order stock as needed.
  • Waste Disposal: Safely dispose of waste in accordance with departmental protocols.

Requirements:

  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a keen attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
  • Protocol Adherence: Ability to follow established protocols and procedures.
  • Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing circumstances.
