East of Scotland Farmers Ltd is a leading co-operative representing over 300 farmers in Scotland. Our primary function is to provide drying, storage, market security, and competitive prices for malting barley and other grains from our members, while also offering a range of inputs and services to arable farmers, livestock farmers, small-holders, and non-farming customers.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our team of 24 and drive the strategic growth and performance of our business. As the principal ambassador of East of Scotland Farmers, you will be responsible for building relationships with our directors, members, colleagues, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure we are performing to our fullest capability.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and operational expertise to drive business growth and performance
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including directors, members, and suppliers
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our members' grain
- Oversee the management of our team and ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to inform business decisions
We are looking for a candidate with recent experience of working at a senior level in a relevant industry sector and role. You should be able to demonstrate your ability across a range of competencies, including leadership, communication, and marketing.
