Job Title: Clinical Lead Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Therapist to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Lead Therapist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and management of the day-to-day delivery of services, including supporting the development of the service, managing issues relating to HR, colleague absence, completing appraisals, probation reports, performance and compliance with Care Quality Commission Standards.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing therapy assessment and treatment to patients with diverse health needs, who may have complex and/or chronic conditions, in a variety of community settings. You will also be responsible for monitoring and analysing performance data against agreed targets for the team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide clinical leadership and management of the day-to-day delivery of services
  2. Support the development of the service and manage issues relating to HR, colleague absence, and performance
  3. Provide therapy assessment and treatment to patients with diverse health needs

About Us

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust operates from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises. We provide a range of General Hospital services, including Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units, and various Consultant-led services.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a Health & Care Professions Council Registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist qualification, an Honours Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy, and evidence of relevant post-graduate specialist courses/training to Masters module level or equivalent. Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or Royal College of Occupational Therapists is desirable.
