Our client is a distinguished heavy civil engineering contractor recognized for their outstanding quality across multiple sectors. They play a crucial role as a partner for significant clients in the water management sector.

The primary focus of this role is on projects associated with water management, with a substantial workload anticipated for the upcoming years. Initial assignments will involve tasks related to a Waste Water Treatment Facility and the enhancement of approximately 10 kilometers of pipeline in the area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager to manage daily operations
  • Conduct daily briefings with on-site personnel
  • Lead health and safety toolbox discussions
  • Ensure compliance with site safety regulations and address any issues promptly
  • Supervise direct labor teams and oversee subcontractors
  • Develop and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Coordinate the ordering of materials
  • Assist the Site Agent with progress reporting
  • Participate in progress meetings
  • Oversee equipment checks and necessary permits
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Site Supervisor on projects involving deep drainage, piping, ducting, etc.
  • Familiarity with the operational standards of major clients in the water sector
  • Valid certifications: CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid, and a full driving license
  • Additional qualifications such as Temporary Works, EUSR Water, and Appointed Person are beneficial
Salary and Benefits:
A competitive salary of up to £53,000 (based on experience) along with additional benefits including a company vehicle or allowance, fuel expenses, generous annual leave, annual bonus, pension scheme, and more.
