Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Join our team as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer and take on a challenging role that requires a strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical trades. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing engineering support to ensure the smooth operation of our plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain equipment in optimal condition.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce engineering downtime and improve plant availability, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Work across both mechanical and electrical trades, ensuring all engineering work is carried out in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice, Health and Safety Legislation, and company standards.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in plant, machinery, and site services, both electrical and mechanical.
  • Plan and execute maintenance activities, including modifications, installations, and upgrades to plant machinery and site services.
  • Utilize the CMMS system to track and manage maintenance activities, and assist in its development to achieve world-class asset performance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve machine or plant issues, and participate in project work, including the installation and commissioning of machines and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain electrical and mechanical drawings as needed, and work with multi-functional teams to improve production processes and plant design.
Requirements:
  • Time served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years maintenance experience within a manufacturing setting.
  • Practical experience gained within an engineering function, with a strong understanding of Health and Safety knowledge directly relating to the Engineering function.
  • Wide range of knowledge of functional engineering disciplines, including maintenance techniques and philosophies.
  • PC literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office to produce various reports.
