Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled professional to join our esteemed Private Client Tax division at Evelyn Partners.

This position will involve delivering tax compliance and advisory solutions for a diverse array of private clientele, including individuals, trusts, private corporations, and family offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, which may encompass sole proprietors, partners, high-net-worth individuals, non-UK domiciliaries, non-UK residents, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Identify potential advisory opportunities for clients and oversee the execution of these projects.
  • Collaborate with Partners, showcasing strong leadership abilities. Responsibilities include conducting appraisals, monitoring staff performance, providing on-the-job training for junior staff, and addressing staff inquiries.
  • Oversee the administration of client portfolios, ensuring compliance with all regulations, including accounts, tax returns, and tax computations.
  • Prepare client reports, participate in client meetings, and address ad-hoc inquiries regarding personal tax matters.
  • Deliver outstanding client service and maintain regular communication with the client team.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience within a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of personal tax compliance, with some exposure to planning and advisory work preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet competing deadlines while managing pressure.
  • Excellent written communication skills for drafting correspondence with clients and HMRC, simplifying complex issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with clients and collaborate with team members.
  • Client-focused approach with a commitment to meeting deadlines and addressing client needs.
  • Act as a link in the chain to supervise junior staff and support senior Directors.

Education and Qualifications

ACA/CTA or equivalent professional qualification.
