About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Galliford Try. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that we deliver high-quality results while maintaining a strong focus on cost control and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective cost management strategies to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of project costs, including subcontractor invoices and payments.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential cost risks.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management and clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying or a related field, with a strong understanding of construction contracts and cost management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
