About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Audio Visual (AV) Engineer to join our team at Kinkorconsulting. As an AV Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight and support from the beginning of the design process through post-installation support of audio-visual projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise to customers, project managers, and field technicians to design and implement integrated or stand-alone AV solutions.
  • Collaborate with customers, project management, and other engineers to modify design or project plans.
  • Commission AV equipment, including control systems and DSP configurations.
  • Document technical information needed for field installation.
  • Perform onsite and remote technical customer training.
  • Develop schematics and architectural drawings, and commission AV hardware.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the Audio Visual field.
  • College or technical degree, preferred.
  • Valid design, engineering, or installation certifications as needed per specifications by the manufacturer (AVIXA CTS-I or CTS-D preferred, required within a year of hire date).
  • Available and willing to travel.
  • Knowledgeable with Crestron programming.
  • Experience and certifications with AV manufacturers and equipment, including Crestron, Biamp, Extron, Atlona, Sure, and Cisco.
  • Advanced knowledge of Audio Visual hardware and software manufacturers, such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Microsoft, Cisco, Zoom, Cambridge, and D-Tools, preferred.
  • Computer/laptop/smartphone proficiency.
  • Highly proficient with the use of email, spreadsheets, Microsoft, Visio, and the ability to learn internal systems.
  • Valid state driver's license.
