SSA Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency specializing in placing top talent in the construction and engineering sectors. We are currently working with a top 5 contractor in the hard landscaping industry to find a highly skilled Project Manager to join their team.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering to lead our client's London-based projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing high-end civil and hard landscaping projects, with excellent technical competence and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of project delivery, including site management, personnel supervision, and quality control.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
  • Collaborate with the design team and construction team to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including site diaries, manpower levels, and quality checks.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials, plant, and equipment, and ensure efficient delivery.
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations and supervise drafting.
  • Attend weekly management team meetings and contribute to the development of project strategies.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of proven experience at senior level, working on similar high-end civil/hard landscaping projects.
  • Technical competence in the use of all setting out instruments.
  • Ability to effectively manage site programs and associated schedules to required deadlines.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills and ability to effectively deal with design issues.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications, including Microsoft Office and Project/Powerproject.
