Senior/Principal Sustainability Consultant

An exciting opportunity to contribute to SRE Ltd's mission to combat climate change by leading our Net Zero team and collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals.

SRE Ltd has been a pioneer in sustainability advice for nearly 20 years, providing innovative solutions to key players in the built environment.

To meet the growing demand for our services, we are seeking a Senior/Principal Sustainability Consultant to join our Senior Management Team and drive our Net Zero initiatives forward.

The Role
  • Lead our Net Zero team, fostering growth and development among team members.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day management of the company through the Senior Management Team.
  • Deliver high-quality technical and strategic advice on a range of sustainability services, including Whole Life Carbon Assessments, Circular Economy Statements, and Net Zero Roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with design teams on high-profile developments.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for clients.
  • Play an active role in SRE Ltd's growing team.
  • Manage key client accounts, developing long-term relationships.
  • Expand our client offering into new areas of sustainability.
  • Contribute to developing a robust pipeline.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
  • A relevant degree in Sustainability, with a building/sustainability/materials-related MSc desirable.
  • Between 3-5 years' experience working within the built environment.
  • Experience advising on net zero buildings.
  • Experience carrying out Whole Life Cycle Carbon Assessments and using OneClick LCA software.
  • Knowledge of the RICS WLC guidance methodology.
  • Knowledge of Circular Economy principles and reporting.
  • Experience providing low-carbon material solutions to reduce embodied carbon.
  • Experience managing projects, writing reports, and building relationships with clients.

The role will be full-time and based in Guildford, Surrey, within 30 minutes of London. Salary will be dependent on experience and ability.
