Position Overview
Join the esteemed ENT team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust as a Clinical Nurse Expert in Rhinology. This role is essential in enhancing the Rhinology patient journey, providing a dedicated point of contact for patients, and facilitating nurse-led clinics for prompt evaluations and follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality specialized nursing care in Rhinology, focusing on governance for high-risk pathways.
- Enhance clinic capacity and streamline patient flow by collecting audit data and improving existing standards.
- Act as a vital resource for the Rhinology team, offering education to both staff and patients while implementing multidisciplinary team outcomes.
- Coordinate pre-operative assessments and plans, including:
- Gathering relevant imaging studies from associated healthcare facilities.
- Supporting patients with complex conditions to minimize emergency admissions.
- Arranging pre-operative admissions at local hospitals and coordinating transfers for surgical procedures.
- Providing guidance on medical optimization prior to surgery.
- Deliver tailored educational sessions for nursing staff and learners, focusing on complex nursing care for patients undergoing Rhinology and skull base surgeries.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to foster continuous service enhancement and leverage research to elevate patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience
