We are seeking a motivated Claims Handler to join our dynamic and supportive team at Gerrard White. Our client, a leading organisation in the insurance sector, is looking for an experienced individual to manage professional indemnity claims.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage claims from initial notification to resolution, ensuring thorough investigation and appropriate responses.
- Negotiate settlements within delegated authority, balancing efficiency and fairness.
- Maintain accurate case records on the electronic case management system.
- Report regularly to insurers and ensure adherence to both internal and insurer KPIs and SLAs.
- Proactively manage a caseload to avoid litigation and ensure effective resolutions.
- Identify and report potential risks, supporting the Head of Claims with insights on trends.
- Build strong relationships with insured professionals, insurers, and suppliers.
- Solid experience in claims handling, particularly in professional indemnity.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to meet deadlines and manage caseloads efficiently.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality service and ensuring client satisfaction.
- A proactive approach to self-development and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
