Actuarial Student Placement Opportunity

We are seeking an Actuarial Student Placement candidate to join our London Actuarial team. This role is ideal for an undergraduate with an Actuarial, Mathematical, or Statistical/Quantitative background looking to pursue an Actuarial career after graduating.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide analytical and actuarial support to the Travelers Syndicate Management Actuarial team
  • Assist in delivering reserving, management information, planning, and underwriting support
  • Contribute to the quarterly reserving process, monthly and quarterly uploads, and data warehouse uploads
  • Participate in corporate planning, large case pricing, and portfolio analysis
  • Take a meaningful role in process improvement projects, including exposure to coding in Python and SQL
Requirements
  • Currently studying an Actuarial or Mathematical (or related) degree
  • Option to take a placement year in industry before completing the final year of study
  • Strong analytical and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Desire to build relationships across the business
