ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for crafting effective, innovative, and economical Construction Logistics Strategies for various projects across the UK.
This role involves close collaboration with Clients, local authorities, different internal teams, on-site operatives, and affiliated companies to ensure the most effective overall traffic and logistics strategy for both the company and the Client. You will also assist in planning initiatives for companies within the Group.
Your responsibilities will include aiding in the development of tender proposals, planning scenarios for additional tasks, and enhancing existing operational methods, ensuring that sites adhere to best practice protocols for traffic and logistics management.
Additionally, you will support the management of active project plans as necessary, working alongside the Traffic Advisor and departmental manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Duties:
- Develop planning strategies in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and other relevant site safety regulations.
- Create Tender Stage Construction Logistics Strategies in collaboration with relevant personnel, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and contractual obligations, utilizing: provided Client information, site assessments, online research, innovation, 1:1 modeling, and logical planning to analyze issues and devise feasible logistical solutions.
- Maintain effective Construction Logistics Strategies as resource and workload demands evolve.
- Visit sites and engage with clients to clarify tender and active project requirements regarding logistical and traffic management matters.
- Assist in preparing tender documentation, including swept paths and logistics plans.
- Produce drawings to the required standard, adhering to quality management protocols and making necessary revisions to support tender submissions and ongoing project development.
- Perform additional duties beyond the normal scope of work to enhance the beneficial development and operational efficiency of the Alandale Group.
- Exhibit a flexible work approach as required by site and head office demands.
- Foster and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, clients, local and regulatory authorities, and other personnel as necessary.
- Prepare concise reports based on factual data, presenting reasoned arguments for proposed actions or reporting other necessary data.
- Gather, analyze, and review information from diverse sources.
- Maintain a strong understanding of quality, safety, traffic, and environmental legislation.
- Support and collaborate with site teams and contractors to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
