About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to lead our team at Sports Direct. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, visual merchandising, and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Management:
    • Lead and motivate a team of sales associates to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and productivity.
    • Provide coaching and feedback to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Visual Merchandising:
    • Oversee the visual presentation of the store, ensuring it meets the company's standards and brand image.
    • Develop and implement visual merchandising plans to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Sales and Operations:
    • Drive sales growth and profitability through effective inventory management, pricing strategies, and sales promotions.
    • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Develop and implement plans to improve store operations, including stockroom management and cash handling procedures.
  • Development and Training:
    • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Identify and develop future leaders within the team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting sales targets and achieving business objectives.
