As a Lead Cook (Chargehand), you will oversee kitchen operations and serving responsibilities while actively engaging in the preparation, baking, cooking, and serving of a variety of meals. Your role will also involve managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring optimal stock levels.
To qualify for this position, an SVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation & Cooking or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
Relevant experience in a similar environment is crucial, and candidates must exhibit a compassionate and positive attitude towards working with elderly individuals, as well as the ability to adapt to diverse dietary requirements.
Possession of the REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or an equivalent certification is preferred.
Position Details
Title: Lead Cook (Chargehand)
Department: Health & Social Care
Contract Type: Permanent
Weekly Hours: 18 hours
Work Schedule: 5-week rota including weekends
Annual Salary: Based on 18 hours per week over 52 weeks, the minimum salary for this role is £13,81 per annum.

This position is classified as Regulated Work with Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act.
