Job Title: 2nd Line Support Engineer

Job Summary:

Digital Waffle is seeking a skilled 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our team. As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering advanced technical support for a wide range of hardware and software issues, including Microsoft Windows, Apple OS, Office 365, and Active Directory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical support for complex IT issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems with Microsoft Windows, Apple OS, Office 365, and Active Directory.
  • Manage and maintain critical IT infrastructure components, such as servers, networks, storage, and virtualisation systems.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance IT systems and processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge base articles.

Requirements:

  • Strong foundation in Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Office 365, and Active Directory.
  • Experience in managing and supporting server, network, and virtualisation infrastructure.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on delivering timely solutions.
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

  • Cloud certifications (Azure, Microsoft 365)
  • Scripting abilities (PowerShell)
  • ITIL qualifications
