Job Title: Service Controller

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Service Controller to join our team at Rentokil Pest Control South Africa. As a Service Controller, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating service work within your branch, ensuring that branch targets are met and all relevant paperwork is processed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Work Planning: Produce and send a weekly programme of work for each of the service personnel, ensuring that all necessary information is included.
  • Customer Liaison: Liaise with customers to book service work, as required by the customer, and ensure that all necessary details are recorded.
  • Time Sheet Management: Check and input time sheet details onto the branch system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Expense and Overtime Claims: Check service personnel expense forms and overtime claims, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Service Forecasting: Prepare a weekly service forecast in conjunction with the Service Manager and/or the Branch Manager, ensuring that all necessary information is included.
  • Branch Contact: Act as a point of contact for service personnel, dealing with any queries or issues that may arise.
  • Customer Service: Deal with customer service-related queries in an efficient and effective manner, ensuring that all customer needs are met.
  • Sales Enquiries: Forward any sales enquiries to the branch sales team, ensuring that all necessary information is passed on.
  • Reporting: Compile service reports and any other reporting material required by the National Accounts Department, ensuring that all necessary information is included.
  • Charging Arrangements: Prior to month end, ensure that the charging arrangements are correct for all emergency calls, special disinfection work, etc.
  • Service Monitoring: Complete all service monitoring required, ensuring that all necessary information is recorded.
  • Hazard Assessments: Ensure that copies of hazard assessments and work details are provided to service personnel before they commence work on a customer's premise.
  • Materials and Preparations: Arrange for the availability of materials, preparations, and chemicals required for the service staff to carry out their work.

Requirements:

  • Customer Focus: Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer experience.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in working in a fast-paced office environment and under pressure.
  • Technical Skills: Microsoft proficient.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and effectively manage and prioritize workload.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new computer systems.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate at all levels with a confident telephone manner.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work in difficult situations and able to resolve.
  • Route Planning: Route planning/optimization is desirable but not essential.
