Internal Tutor for STEM Subjects

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Internal Tutor specialising in STEM Subjects to join our dynamic team at The Profs. This is a fully remote role offering flexible working hours, ranging from 15 to 20 hours per week, making it ideal for experienced educators seeking a balance between work and personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging tutoring sessions in STEM subjects to students preparing for their GCSEs and A-levels.
  • Develop tailored lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring they understand and excel in the UK syllabus.
  • Provide timely feedback and support to students, helping them achieve their academic goals.
  • Utilize various teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to develop and refine educational materials and strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the UK curriculum and A-level examinations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A strong academic background in a STEM subject with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching the UK syllabus at GCSE and A-level, with a track record of helping students achieve high grades.
  • Classroom teaching experience (Preferable)
  • Teaching qualification in a STEM subject (Preferable)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple students and adapt to their individual needs.
  • Proficient in using digital tools and platforms for remote teaching.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
