Senior Application Security Consultant

FIS is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Application Security Consultant to become a vital part of our cybersecurity team. In this position, you will be tasked with safeguarding API security across all applications developed by FIS. Your expertise will be crucial in formulating security protocols and standards, executing comprehensive security evaluations, and working closely with diverse teams to reduce potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and uphold API security protocols
  • Perform both static and dynamic security evaluations utilizing tools such as Burpsuite, OWASP ZAP, AppScan, among others
  • Engage with cross-departmental teams to pinpoint and rectify security weaknesses
  • Conduct risk evaluations and threat modeling for applications
  • Maintain a robust understanding of best practices in development and application security

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in application security with an emphasis on API security
  • In-depth knowledge of security technologies and industry best practices
  • Strong communication and decision-making abilities
  • Familiarity with tools such as Veracode, Checkmarx, Fortify, etc.
  • ISC2 certification is advantageous
