Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Automation, Control & Technology team at our Head Office in Southampton.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-contract site surveys to gather user requirement specifications and control philosophies.
  • Select and purchase equipment for control panel design and implementation.
  • Design control panel schematic diagrams and general arrangements from user requirement specifications and control philosophies.
  • Produce documentation packages for workshop operatives and operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Perform onsite fault finding and modification of electrical control systems.
  • Develop risk assessments, method statements, site progress reports, and other necessary paperwork.
Requirements:
  • A background in electrical controls design engineering, preferably with experience in the water industry.
  • Good understanding of BSEN 61439 LV Directive.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Autocad, with experience in Promis-e an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and client-facing experience.
  • Hard working and self-motivated individual with relevant engineering qualification or experience.
