About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced educator to join our team at The Bedford College Group as a Hairdressing and Barbering Lecturer. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and training to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective teaching and learning programs in hairdressing and barbering.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their development.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment materials, ensuring they are relevant and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of excellence and innovation in teaching and learning.
  • Support the recruitment and retention of students, promoting the college and its programs to potential learners.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in hairdressing and barbering, such as a Level 3 diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience of teaching and assessing in a further education setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and trends in hairdressing and barbering.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
