Senior Support Worker Opportunity at Dovehaven Care Homes

Welcome to Dovehaven Care Homes, a family-run care group providing high-quality residential and nursing care for the elderly. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at our specialist male-only unit in Preston.

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for managing the care team and ensuring that care staff adhere to CQC guidelines while providing exceptional care to residents. You will promote and deliver high standards of care, supervise and instruct less experienced staff, and contribute to the overall well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the care team and ensure adherence to CQC guidelines
  • Provide exceptional care to residents and promote high standards of care
  • Supervise and instruct less experienced staff to enable them to contribute to the care provided
  • Contribute to the overall well-being of residents and the success of the care home
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Previous experience working in an elderly care setting
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and well-organized
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Dependable and able to work well under pressure
  • Previous supervisory experience in a care or nursing home setting
  • NVQ level 2 in health and social care is essential
