We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist in Urology to join our team at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a urologist to provide a comprehensive general urology outpatient, inpatient, diagnostic, and day case surgery service for urology patients.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellent leadership skills, with regard to individual performance, clinical teams, the Trust, and when participating in national initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver high-quality diagnostic, treatment, and management of adult patients with urological disorders and diseases in line with clinical protocols.
  • Ensure clinical guidelines and protocols are adhered to by junior medical staff and updated on a regular basis.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining a high-quality environment for patients and staff, which delivers excellent care to patients and supports the achievement of all local and national access targets.
  • Work with medical, nursing, and managerial colleagues to ensure high performance in clinical efficiency, quality of outcomes, financial management, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in the business planning and objective setting process for the Directorate and Trust where appropriate.
Requirements
  • Should have completed a recognised training programme in Urology as relevant to country of qualification.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competency in general Urology.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
