Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Developer to join our team at Jackson Hogg in Newcastle upon Tyne. As a Quantitative Developer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining solutions to meet the business needs of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and opportunities, and develop solutions to meet them.
  • Design, implement, and maintain software solutions using C# and other relevant technologies.
  • Review and improve the development work of colleagues in Core Quants and other teams.
  • Investigate and resolve day-to-day quantitative issues, and provide insights to business stakeholders.
  • Measure and improve the performance characteristics, design, and operational parameters of our systems.
  • Assist Investment Quants with integrating new analytics models into the quant platform.
  • Champion technical excellence and innovation to drive business success.
Requirements
  • A minimum 2.1 degree in a numerate subject from a Russell Group University, and excellent A Level grades.
  • Strong software engineering skills, including experience with APIs, object-oriented and functional design patterns, distributed system design, and concurrent programming.
  • Expertise in C# and.NET, or the ability to quickly become an expert.
  • A strong desire to build robust, supportable, and automatically tested software.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • A track record of identifying and implementing improvements to existing systems and processes.
