About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Women's Footwear and Accessories Designer to join our Design team at FatFace. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality footwear and accessories that meet the brand's quality standards and manufacturing feasibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop footwear and accessories ranges that reflect the brand's handwriting and DNA
  • Conduct market research to identify the latest trends and stay up-to-date with key competitors
  • Work closely with the Senior Designer and Buyer to design and develop ranges based on sales and trend information
  • Liaise with suppliers on product, design detail, and fabrics
  • Adapt and improve designs based on feedback from buying and management, and react to current trade across the business
  • Support the Senior Designer in research themes and directions for Design Presentation, contributing to mood and trends
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Design-based subject
  • At least 3+ years' experience working for a relevant brand at Design level
  • Expert knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including designers, buying, and merchandisers
  • Strong eye for trends and understanding of the FatFace brand
  • Ability to convey designs from paper to 3D design
  • Good knowledge of factory processes and ability to articulate yourself clearly and confidently when communicating and briefing suppliers
