We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team at a beautiful, warm, and welcoming 98-bed Care Home that specialises in Residential, Nursing and Dementia Care.

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in meeting the personal care and hygiene needs of residents, promoting their dignity and independence. You will also be responsible for the care of the residents' physical environment and general day-to-day activities of the home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guiding and supervising Care Assistants in their day-to-day routine, ensuring high standards of care and support.
  • Maintaining personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home, participating in appropriate training and development opportunities.
  • Understanding and implementing safeguarding responsibilities, reducing the risk of abuse or neglect to adults who need care and support, and safeguarding adults in a way that recognises their choice and control.
  • Ensuring that the safeguarding and whistle blowing policy are adhered to at all times.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a care home setting, preferably in dementia care.
  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification.
