The position is primarily remote, ideally suited for candidates located in the Oxford/Reading region, with occasional travel required across these areas and north of London.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with sales personnel to coordinate survey execution.
- Conduct inspections on various building types and structures.
- Generate digital reports in real-time while on-site.
- Draft specifications for necessary remedial actions.
- Provide technical assistance for building insurance claims.
- Address issues related to subsidence, fire, and storm damage.
- Report directly to the Director, offering progress updates.
- Innovate and develop new methodologies.
- Utilize advanced software tools.
- A minimum of a 1st class degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
- Extensive experience in structural surveys and design.
- Proficient in IT systems and software, including AutoCAD and TEDDS.
- Strong knowledge of building materials and structures such as steel, masonry, concrete, and timber.
- Membership in MICE or MIStructE is preferred.
- A keen interest in new technologies and continuous improvement.
- Must possess a valid UK driving license and be able to travel to various sites.
The Senior Structural Engineer position offers a competitive salary of approximately £55K, with additional benefits including:
