Role Overview

We are seeking a Housing Support Specialist to become part of our team in the Bristol area, focusing on our new low-support service. In this role, you will ensure the ongoing, safe provision of housing for vulnerable individuals residing in our supported living facilities.

Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with clients to design, implement, and coordinate housing and intensive management services for those living in temporary dispersed accommodations throughout the region.

This position requires interaction with clients, team members, and external agencies to deliver a comprehensive service of the highest quality. You will play a vital role in onboarding new clients and providing guidance regarding welfare and benefits. Additionally, you will oversee the upkeep of the facility, conducting risk assessments and health and safety monitoring, while liaising with the housing management team on repairs and maintenance issues.

Work Schedule

This position entails working 36.25 hours per week over a 5-day period. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service, and all job offers are subject to the receipt of two positive references.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who share our spirited approach. This role can be emotionally demanding, so we seek candidates who are positive and supportive. Experience in challenging environments is essential, and local knowledge will be beneficial for our clients.

A solid understanding of housing management best practices, letting procedures, and tenancy compliance is crucial. Previous experience working with vulnerable populations is imperative.

Proficiency in IT and strong communication skills are necessary, enabling you to influence positively when required.
