About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Endoscopy Decontamination Department as an Endoscopy Decontamination Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and promoting personal and professional image in accordance with stated expectations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Undertake the role of washing and decontamination of endoscopes and related endoscopic equipment.
  • Reprocess endoscopes, record all processes of each endoscope in the tracking and tracing database, and ensure all endoscopes are stored correctly adhering to safety procedures.
  • Work at all times in accordance with the department's standard operating procedures and the quality management systems, and adhere to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Provide clinical support as required, and ensure the efficient and effective running of the endoscopy department and decontamination facilities.
  • Assist professionally qualified staff in the delivery of all aspects of care to ensure patient-focused care is delivered safely and in a timely manner.

Communication and Teamwork

The successful candidate will be able to communicate in a professional manner with colleagues and demonstrate an understanding of the complexity of communication within an indication audience. They will also be able to maintain good relationships and communications with all disciplines within the Trust.
