Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent

Omega Resource Group is supporting a well-established client in their search for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to work on a 4on 4off shift. Reporting into the Engineering Director, you will be responsible for carrying out both reactive and pre-planned maintenance across a variety of machinery across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to optimize plant and equipment efficiency, minimizing downtime.
  • Ensure timely completion of planned engineering tasks.
  • Adhere to good repair and manufacturing practices and procedures.
  • Complete and maintain accurate planned maintenance documents.
  • Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets and objectives.
  • Contribute to suggestions and solutions to improve efficiency of plant and equipment at the site.
  • Ensure all equipment operates efficiently through proactive and reactive maintenance. Conduct regular PPMs to a satisfactory standard as instructed by the engineering manager, flagging and recording any faults found.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Electro-Mechanical Apprenticeship, NVQ, BTEC Level 3 or similar.
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production environment.
  • Fundamental understanding of Electrical Maintenance.
