Position: SEMH Support Assistant

Overview:
Are you passionate about assisting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a mainstream Primary School environment? Do you possess the skills to cater to a diverse range of SEN requirements?

Your local Primary School is seeking a dedicated SEMH Support Assistant to join their team, as they anticipate an increase in student enrollment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the teaching of Key Stage 2 (Year 4) students in subjects such as Numeracy, Literacy, and Science, along with other classroom activities.
2. Collaborate with the Key Stage 2 Class Teacher to provide updates on student progress and maintain effective communication with parents and guardians.
3. Offer tailored 1:1 or group assistance to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
4. Monitor and assess the SEN requirements and mental health needs of students within the school.

Work Schedule:
- Full-time position from 08:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- Monday to Friday
- Term time only, no weekend work

Qualifications:
- Experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) support
- Previous roles as a Teaching Assistant in the UK (1 year preferred)

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in SEMH support (1 year preferred)
- A valid Driving Licence
- A degree in Psychology (2:1 preferred)
