Overview
In our Central Projects and Programmes division, we are seeking a Portfolio Manager to enhance our Fleet Programmes team and expand our delivery and support capabilities for our Nuclear fleet, which includes both Generation and Nuclear Decommissioning assets. This role entails the establishment of a new team of Project Managers responsible for conducting initial assessments and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) work to develop and launch a new Fleet Programme aimed at mitigating approved business or technical risks.

Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the initial lifecycle development and assessment of cross-fleet portfolios emerging from the Operations medium-term plan, Nuclear Decommission Annual Liability Review 2 requirements, and 'New Nuclear Projects' as part of our Strategy and Commercial Development.
- Establishing a flexible Fleet Recovery Project Management capability that can be utilized for setting up and managing any future significant Event Recoveries, drawing from EDF team members and Project Management Resource (PMR) staff.
- Being accountable to your Line Manager for the safe delivery of agreed cross-fleet portfolios or programmes.
- Holding authority/accountability for expenditures up to the portfolio limits set by sanctioned project funds and assigned budgets, typically ranging from £10M to £50M annually.
- Leading project work on-site and ensuring effective collaboration with Station Management and other Station and Central teams while maintaining accountability and reporting standards as required by the Project Delivery Integrated Company Practice and Specifications.
- Guiding your Team's safe delivery, development, training, and performance, while championing the One Project Delivery Community and promoting continuous learning across the entire Project and Programmes portfolio.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a degree, preferably in Project Management, Engineering, or a related professional qualification, and hold Chartered Project Professional or Chartered Engineer status.
A formal background in Project Management within a highly regulated environment is essential, along with demonstrated leadership skills and experience. Effective interpersonal and influencing skills are necessary for engaging with key stakeholders regarding project performance.
