Role Overview

In the capacity of Leadership Development and Talent Lead, you will be tasked with crafting and executing the Learning and Development (L&D) strategy aimed at bolstering essential competencies throughout Marshall. This position entails the design and delivery of premium programs, encompassing leadership education, fundamental management training, talent cultivation (including technical apprenticeships), and critical training such as onboarding and compliance courses for all staff members. Furthermore, this role will enhance the performance framework to nurture a culture of excellence through ongoing dialogue and feedback, ensuring the growth and retention of exceptional talent.

Candidate Profile

  • You possess substantial experience as an L&D leader with specialized knowledge; recognized as a thought leader in leadership and talent management best practices.
  • Your leadership, coaching, and collaborative skills are robust, demonstrating a proactive approach and a passion for mentoring and developing others.
  • You have a comprehensive understanding and experience in implementing diverse learning methodologies and approaches, such as virtual, in-person, and the 70:20:10 model.
  • Familiarity with psychometric assessment tools, including Insights Discovery, Hogan, and Thomas International, and the ability to interpret and facilitate 360-degree feedback.
  • Adept at building relationships, showcasing excellent stakeholder management skills up to executive levels.
  • You are an innovative thinker with strong commercial insight and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate the long-term L&D strategy and key performance indicators in collaboration with HR Business Partners and the HR Director to align with Marshall Motor Group's people priorities.
  • Introduce and integrate the Constellation Automotive Group's leadership framework and digital resources, ensuring uniformity and alignment of leadership expectations across all levels.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify development needs, offering expertise on all leadership and talent-related matters, from coaching and feedback to enhancing team effectiveness.
  • Guide and develop senior leaders and their teams utilizing a mix of 360-degree feedback tools and psychometric assessments to create development plans and elevate performance.
  • Design a premier onboarding and induction experience for all Marshall employees, partnering with compliance and health and safety to create engaging, interactive learning modules.
  • Oversee a fully operational Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring high-quality, relevant content that aligns with business requirements, evolving and adapting as necessary.
  • Enhance the apprenticeship program, collaborating with divisions and recruitment to attract, hire, and retain top technical apprentices while optimizing government funding.
  • Manage external vendors and contracts, supporting the oversight of the L&D budget, with monthly tracking and reporting.
