Role Overview:
As a Bodyshop Prepper, you will play a crucial role within a skilled bodyshop team, ensuring that vehicles are prepared to meet the highest standards for our clientele, under the guidance of the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparing vehicles for painting, which includes masking, priming, sanding, and cleaning panels.
2. Ensuring that all prepared panels are free from defects.
3. Providing support to other areas of the workshop as necessary.
4. Assisting in the training and development of junior team members.
Qualifications:
To excel in the role of Bodyshop Prepper, you should possess the following:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position within a bodyshop environment.
- A valid UK Driving Licence held for at least 1 year.
- A willingness to mentor junior cosmetic technicians and provide guidance when required.
Personal Attributes:
You should have a passion for the automotive industry and take pride in delivering work that meets the high standards expected by our customers. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively on vehicles is essential, along with the capability to make informed decisions when necessary. Exceptional attention to detail is a must.
