Job Summary: Prospero Teaching is seeking a Russell Group Graduate to support students in a secondary school setting. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide additional support to students who require it.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with 5-6 students who require additional support, including those with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Support the class teacher in lessons and contribute to the development of students' skills and knowledge
  • Run intervention sessions and booster groups to support students who need extra help
  • Be involved in running extracurricular activities to enhance students' learning experience
  • Write reports and provide feedback to teachers, SENCO, external agencies, and parents

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a Russell Group university with a degree in any subject
  • No previous education experience is required, but a passion for education and working with students is essential
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training is desirable, but not essential
  • Right to Work in the UK and an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
