Position Overview

As a Senior Solar Energy System Designer, you will be instrumental in revolutionizing solar energy applications. Your expertise will be pivotal in crafting and refining high-efficiency solar energy systems that guarantee superior energy output and client satisfaction. This position provides the chance to engage in diverse projects, collaborate with a committed team, and significantly influence the promotion of sustainable energy initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design detailed solar energy system layouts, electrical schematics, and comprehensive equipment specifications, with a robust understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and their integration within solar projects.
  • Conduct comprehensive technical feasibility studies for prospective solar installations.
  • Leverage advanced solar design software (e.g., PVSOL, PVSyst) to produce efficient and economically viable system designs.
  • Execute thorough energy production evaluations using PVSOL to enhance system performance and maximize project profitability.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards for solar installations.
  • Work closely with Sales and Business Development teams to provide technical expertise, prepare proposals, and assist with client consultations by clarifying technical aspects from PVSOL analyses.
  • Apply your knowledge of BESS sizing, shading assessments, and system optimization to deliver optimal solutions for clients.
  • Guide and mentor junior designers, ensuring the precision and quality of their outputs.
  • Prepare and assess technical documentation, including reports, proposals, and construction plans.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in solar technology, design methodologies, industry trends, and innovations in solar modules, inverters, and storage systems.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects independently while adhering to deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in solar energy system design and engineering.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing high-efficiency solar systems.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard solar design software (e.g., PVSOL, AutoCAD).
  • Strong grasp of electrical principles, particularly in direct current (DC) systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulations, codes, and safety standards for solar installations.
  • Solid understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and their significance in solar projects.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks under pressure.
