Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team at TRCGroup. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for securely transporting palletized parcels to and from sub-depots and delivery units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Delivery: Safely move and transport palletized parcels to and from sub-depots and delivery units.
  • Operational Efficiency: Handle runs with 1-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
  • Equipment Operation: Utilize tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers and represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
  • Compliance and Training: Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Full UK driving license with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
  • Documentation: Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • Driving Record: No more than 6 points on license (minor offences only).
  • Legislation Knowledge: Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment.
  • Assessment: Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
  • Safety Mindset: A safety-first mindset.
