Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 6 Registered Nurse to enhance our Rheumatology Service. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, individualized patient care as part of our specialized nursing team.
The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of rheumatology patients, ensuring personalized care through nurse-led clinics and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
You will be instrumental in providing guidance and support to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals across various care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a defined caseload of rheumatology patients, offering specialized nursing support, education, and care.
- Continuously assess patient needs and develop, implement, and evaluate care programs.
- Deliver clinical, social, and psychological support, utilizing effective communication and health promotion strategies.
- Provide expert advice and mentorship to peers and junior staff.
- Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and contribute to the development of care systems and protocols.
- Facilitate health education initiatives relevant to the service.
- Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to a collaborative approach in patient management.
- Support departmental management by providing necessary reports and information.
